Gabellini Sheppard Associates collaborated with world-renowned architect Álvaro Siza on the interior architecture of 611 W 56th Street in New York City. This prestigious condominium project located marks Siza's first residential building in the United States. The tower, enveloped in elegant Perla Biance limestone, stands as a distinguished addition to Manhattan's renowned "architect's row" in Hudson West.

The interior architecture and residences of the building were meticulously crafted by Gabellini Sheppard. The project comprises 77 units with floorplans ranging from one to four-bedroom homes, spacious duplex "maisonettes," full-floor residences, and a grand penthouse. Each unit features a unique layout, thoughtfully designed to complement the space and reflect Siza's signature subtle and refined detailing.

The exceptional design of 611 W 56th Street has garnered recognition and acclaim within the design community. It was nominated for Interior Design Magazine's Best of Year Award in the Multi-Unit Housing category in 2022.
